County-Wide Operations Teams
COUNTY-WIDE
SUPPORT |

The services provided
by the Countywide Support Team are
an intricate part of the services provided
by the Department Of Public Works.
Our mission is to provide operational
support for the field operations of
Seminole County ‘s Roads-Stormwater
Division. This includes the five
District Teams, Stormwater field operations,
Sheriff ‘s Office, Fire
Department,
and other county agencies and Municipalities.
The
primary services provided by Countywide
Support staff are as follows:
|
STORMWATER
OPERATIONS |

The Stormwater Operations
section of the Roads-Stormwater Division
is responsible for the maintenance
of the primary and secondary drainage
facilities that are located in dedicated
easements and rights-of-way throughout
the County. These facilities
include canals, ditches, retention
ponds, and assorted pipes and structures
associated with these facilities.
Stormwater
crews are also responsible for the
restoration of existing facilities
and the construction of a number of
drainage projects.
The crews and the
workload are grouped around four primary
activities:
|
MAINTENANCE,
ASPHALT, AND DRAINAGE |
The M.A.D Team (maintenance,
asphalt, drainage) provides outstanding
maintenance of roadways and drainage
ditches while also supporting the district
teams with many projects. The M.A.D.
Team is also a key player in the completion
of the dirt road paving program and also the
resurfacing some of the county’s many
roads that are in need of maintenance.
