Endless parks. Endless play.
Natural springs, pristine lakes, fascinating wildlife, challenging sports – it’s all a walk in the park here on the other side of Orlando. More than 30 parks and preserves make Seminole County a favorite destination for bird watching, wildlife study, nature photography, hiking and bicycling. Superb facilities make it easy to enjoy your day, including boardwalks that wind through wetlands and provide a glimpse of fragile ecosystems; pavilions and grills for picnic and barbeques; rentals for canoes, inner tubes and fishing poles; courts for every sport – even sand volleyball; paved trails; and playgrounds.
Two must-sees are Big Tree Park in Longwood, home to “The Senator,” a 3,500 year-old Bald Cypress, and Wekiwa Springs State Park, where beautiful natural springs offer a breathtaking setting for canoeing, tubing or swimming.
